I first took the LSAT in July and underperformed. I knew that I needed a bit of a boost in my performance to get the score I needed. Choosing to go through this journey with Jenna as my tutor was one of the smartest decisions I have made in this long and arduous process. From the get-go, she was patient, kind, and helpful. The positive energy she brought to our classes gave me the encouragement I needed when things got tough, and her uniquely effective approach to teaching has been instrumental in getting me a 6-point increase on the test to a 172.

Jenna has an extraordinarily intuitive grasp of the LSAT and of the skills it tests. When I spoke to her about the broad topics and types of questions I had trouble with, she unpacked my concerns and addressed them in a way that totally changed the way I approached the test. She didn’t just teach me how to solve a given problem; she instead deconstructed the concepts at its core so that I could apply what I learned to various other questions. Jenna was also always accessible by email and she was always super flexible and accommodating, despite the significant time difference we had to work around.

I would recommend Jenna as a tutor to anyone who wants to do well on the LSAT, whatever their initial aptitude or skill level may be. I am immensely grateful for having benefited from her help at such a crucial time in the application process, and I hope that many future test-takers are also able to benefit from her expertise and deeply empathetic style of teaching!

-K.G., Fall 2020

Bottom line up front, 156 to 171 thanks to the LSAT Nerd and specifically Sam. I started my LSAT journey motivated but confused as to what would be the most efficient use of my time. I tried self study, bringing me to the low 160s range, then worked with a different tutor (Non-LSAT Nerd) who didn't get my score much higher.

It was when I called Wade, who set me up with Sam, and assured me that he was the best. He would be correct. Sam worked with me for about 3 months and had me PTing in the 175 range. His style of teaching makes you feel like you're just studying with a friend, and that relaxed environment really helps to understand the material.

Being Active Duty Military, with an incredibly unpredictable schedule, I put Sam through the ringer with constant time changes across about 4 different time zones. Sam was able to make it work everytime, and we never had to skip a lesson.

I could not possibly recommend Sam enough, he literally made it so I could work full time, increase my score higher than others told me was possible, and even talk hypothetical law school applications. 10/10 for sure.

-L.F., Fall 2020

I scored a 154 on my first diagnostic but I knew I was capable of more. I worked with Wade from October to August and I don’t know how I would have navigated the process without him. He didn’t just teach the test but also taught how the skills were useful for law school. Unlike a group class, Wade’s sessions were great for targeting my specific weaknesses and improving them. He allowed me to lead our sessions depending on the questions I had but also taught me approaches to the test I couldn’t find sifting through hundreds of dollars of prep books. Wade was encouraging when the test seemed daunting and made studying more manageable. After retaking a 169 in June, I scored at my goal of 170 for the August flex test. As a former law student himself, Wade was also a great resource to answer questions with clarity and patience. Wade brought a calm and even-keeled energy to an otherwise anxiety-filled process. Wade really cares about all his clients and gives a lot, making himself available at some really crazy times of day. If I were to do the cycle over, I would have signed up with LSAT Nerd earlier!

-N.W., Fall 2020

Jenna is the best LSAT teacher I had during my two years of studying LSAT. I was stuck in the mid to high 160s and within two months I could break that wall of 170s, reaching my goal by October. As an international applicant I was skeptical to use LSAT tutoring services because of the time difference. I had no problem working with Jenna despite the 14 hour time zone difference, and she was always easy to reach.

What I especially liked (which is what especially helped me) was that Jenna and I both pitched in when deciding what to do for each class, and so the classes were very well tailored to my needs. Jenna's method of teaching is very clear, and she makes hard LSAT concepts very easy to understand with sufficient, easy examples. She noticed the fundamental problems, seeing beyond my comment of 'I'm getting a bunch of X type of questions wrong.'

I would definitely recommend her class to a wide range of students, from the ones that are just starting to grasping basic LSAT concepts to those who are trying to refine just a few skills they are missing.  Finally, Jenna's regular check in emails and encouraging words before the test helped me tremendously to calm my nerves when the test was right around the corner. I was very lucky to work with her, and I hope more students can share my experience!

-Y.J., Fall 2020

I started studying for the LSAT on my own and was stuck at the high 150s for a month, I had a tutor before I discovered the LSAT Nerds and that tutor was not able to get me where I needed to be. With two weeks until test day, I started working with Sam and he is the best! Sam's teaching style clicked with me immediately and brought me to my goal score of 166 on test day. He is extremely knowledgeable about the test and is able to explain the most complex LR questions in a way that I could understand. Sam cares a lot about his students and regularly checked in with me to see how the studying was going. He helped me tremendously throughout the whole LSAT and law school admissions process. I really enjoyed doing prep tests and coming to our sessions. The workshops offered by the LSAT Nerds is a great supplement to my LSAT studies, I always looked forward to coming to them. Sam is very encouraging and has a lot of kind words to keep me going even when I underperform in a prep test. He prepared me mentally and emotionally for test day and was with me every step of the way. Sam is the best LSAT tutor out there, I couldn't have done it without him, highly recommended!!

-S.C., Fall 2020

Tara was my secret weapon! I started studying for the August '20 LSAT in May and as test day approached I knew I needed a boost. I worked with Tara and the LSAT Nerds for a couple weeks leading up to the test and she was able to help me improve my score greatly. Very quickly, Tara was able to hone in on the key areas I needed the most help and we developed a plan to move forward. She was patient, precise and used our time wisely to get me to my goal. Not only did we cover the material but she also helped me with my confidence and time management strategies for each section of the test. After the test was over she also helped me work through my personal statement for my applications. She totally took my personal statement to the next level. All her help led to me getting accepted to my number one school! I couldn’t have done any of it without her help and words of encouragement. I would highly recommend working with Tara and the LSAT Nerds as part of your test prep plan and/or personal statement help!

-S.B., Fall 2020

Yash began tutoring me in the final weeks before I took the August 2020 exam when I realized the previous prep course did not assist me enough in strategically studying! When I decided to take the October 2020 exam, Yash tutored me again for about six weeks and definitely helped me improve my score! I highly recommend not only The LSAT Nerd, but also Yash, for anyone that needs one-on-one preparation for the LSAT exam!

-S.M., Fall 2020

Deciding to work with the LSAT Nerd was the best decision I made in regards to preparing for the LSAT. Like many students, the LSAT did not come naturally to me. It is an exceptionally difficult test that requires you to think in a way you never have before. When I first started working with Josh in March of 2020, I was, on average, getting only eight questions correct per section. It took me about 2 hours to finish one 5 question logic game. I was basically starting at ground zero.

I worked with Josh consistently, and with each session, I saw more and more improvement. Not only did he explain why each answer choice was correct or not correct, but he also taught me how to look at the question in a way that directly led me to the right answer. He taught me how to spot patterns in question types and how to identify wrong answer choices. He gave me the tools that resulted in a disciplined and confident test taker, which led to an immense amount of improvement. From my first diagnostic to my final LSAT score, I had a 16 point increase.

However, aside from being a tutor, Josh was a mentor. He increased my confidence as a person and taught me valuable skills that helped me create a balanced life when studying for the LSAT. He also is a great listener and helped me get through really difficult times. When the pandemic first started, the LSAT Nerd went above and beyond and held three-hour-long LSAT workshops for their students for free, multiple times a week. Not only did I get to focus on specific skills for three hours daily, but I also got to work with many other tutors. Their dedication to their students is incredible, and that is something you don't find very often in other LSAT preparation companies.

I couldn't be more grateful for Josh and the LSAT Nerd. I would not be in the position I am today without them.

-K.D., Fall 2020

I began my LSAT journey by taking a diagnostic test. I scored a 143 and was pretty bummed. I self studied for a few months and was able to bring my score to a 152. I got stuck at this score for 3 months before I decided to pursue tutoring with the LSAT Nerd. I chose the LSAT Nerd as my tutor because I liked the individual study plans they create for each student depending on their needs. Also the free classes they give to students is invaluable.

My tutor for a little more than 4 months was Sam Rosenberg and I have nothing but good things to say about him. He completely changed the LSAT for me and in a very short time after working with him I was able to see an improvement in my score. I went from a 152 to scoring a 161 on my first LSAT with him. This process took a little more than 2 months. He helped me in all 3 sections but especially in LR which was my worst section. He would meet with me multiple times per week and we would go over any errors I made from the PTs I had taken. He left no stone unturned and made sure that I was able to fully grasp the material.

I decided I wanted to take the LSAT one more time in hopes for a higher score. Sam continued to meet with me on a weekly basis and work with me and it showed on test day. I was able to make a 164 on the October LSAT which is a game changer for applying to law schools. Thanks to the LSAT Nerd and Sam I was able to go from a 152 (52nd Percentile) to a 164 (89th Percentile). I would recommend them to anyone who is serious about making a better LSAT score. The process of studying for the LSAT can be lonely and anxiety producing and the LSAT Nerds make it easy and dare I say enjoyable. Aside from studying for the LSAT, Sam also helped me with my personal statement. This is also a complicated process and he was able to help me pick an important topic and get it finished. I cannot say thank you enough for everything Sam was able to help me with.

-N.B., Fall 2020

Working with Zek for these past 2 months has been extremely helpful and such a positive experience! After self-studying for 2 months without a stable point increase, I was starting to feel overwhelmed by the LSAT. That’s when I decided to look for a tutor who could remind me that the LSAT, though a formidable challenge, wasn’t impossible. Zek was just the person for the task! Zek is a tutor that really makes the most of both your classes, and your studying outside of class. In class, I really appreciated that Zek taught me by asking me to walk through my process of solving questions and helping me to refine it. By explaining my process, I was able to better understand my shortcomings and improve my skills rather than simply memorizing the right answer, which wouldn’t help me on a future test. Outside of class, I really appreciated that Zek sent me a daily homework schedule and explained best practices for self-review. He was also super responsive over email and would answer additional questions in between sessions. Lastly, Zek is super supportive! The LSAT is not only a battle of wits, but also a mental battle, so having a supportive LSAT tutor to help you weather a bad PT is very reassuring. Even after I’d stopped taking classes with him, Zek still checked in and provided me advice over email regarding LSAT and even law school more generally. Suffice it to say, I am a lot more confident about my understanding of the LSAT now, and I have Zek to thank for this!

-A.N., Fall 2020

Jenna was a fantastic LSAT tutor! Under her guidance, I was able to improve my score from a 155 to a 168 in just a few months. Jenna helped me identify my weaknesses both in my conceptual understanding and in my test preparation. Through her tutorials and question deep dives, I quickly gained insight and filled gaps in my knowledge. This not only made me better at the LSAT, but also improved my critical thinking in general. I highly recommend Jenna as a tutor for anyone seeking LSAT training tailored for their specific needs. I am extremely grateful for all of the help Jenna gave me during this process. I couldn’t have done it without her!

-P.M., Fall 2020

Over several months leading up to the October LSAT I worked with Yash Mehta through The LSAT Nerd. Yash was a great tutor. He knows his stuff, is easy to work with, and provided me with concrete skills I would not have learned had I only used the study books with which I began. Those skills helped me in concrete ways to improve on every section of the test. I was especially pleased to see how much I improved on logic games while working with him. He was friendly, patient, and an all-around great guy to work with. I went from a 155 on my diagnostic test to a 165 on test day thanks to his tutoring. I'd recommend him to anyone looking to significantly improve their score before test day. Thank you for the great tutors you work with!

-W.J., Fall 2020

When I started planning to take my LSAT, I had planned to write it in August 2020, and I was supposed to start studying in April. But then days went by and I got busy with work, and suddenly it was June and I had barely studied. I tried studying on my own, and I got a lot done too, but my goal was a score of 160 and I wasn't getting higher than a 152 on practice tests. Feeling desperate, I sought out help from LSAT nerds 2.5 weeks before my scheduled test and got connected with Phuntso. Even in such a dire case, Phuntso had faith in me and that was the motivation I didn't even know I needed. We had three sessions each week, and in 8 classes, I was ready to crush the LSAT. He developed practice techniques directly tailored to my learning style so I got the most from each session. Not only that, but he also assigned homework, which for someone like me who finds it easy to stick to schedules, was a lifesaver. I was comfortable with the test, which I had never dreamed was going to be a possibility, and I ended with a score of 164. None of this would have been possible without the help of Phuntso. He is an awesome teacher and I couldn't recommend him enough. Thank you LSAT nerds!!

-A.U., Fall 2020

I worked with Sam for four and a half months studying for the LSAT while also balancing a full time career and it was hands down the best decision I made in my law school application process. Sam helped me get from a 150 to a 173 in my time working with him all while making the studying process enjoyable. I genuinely looked forward to our one on one meetings and to the LSAT Nerd workshops because they made it interesting, digestible, and fun. It is definitely hard to balance studying with full time work, but Sam helped me focus my time and strategize my studying to help me succeed with the limited time and resources I had. He helped me to actually understand the material and the strategy of the test, which was crucial for someone with a limited amount of time to study. In the weeks leading up to the test, I was consistently performing well on practice tests, and in the end I got a great score that I am proud to talk about. Without Sam, I absolutely would not have gotten the score that I did. If you are looking for an awesome tutor who can help you genuinely understand the test and enjoy studying for it, Sam is your guy. Highly highly recommend!

-K.K., Fall 2020

Jenna was the best tutor! I came to her with a 162 and ended up with a 177 on the actual LSAT. She was able to help me improve in all sections: LR, LG, and even RC. Not only did Jenna help me during our sessions, she gave me drills for independent practice which also added to my 15 point score increase. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone taking the LSAT.

-J.M., Fall 2020

I started working with Hudson about six weeks before I took the LSAT. I had been self-studying and using the PowerScore books but was still scoring in the mid to high 160s on my practice tests, which was below my target score. In particular, I was really struggling with Logic Games and getting the timing right. Hudson broke down the games in a way that was very clear and digestible, and was always patient in walking through particular games that I had found difficult. He was also very encouraging and helped me be more confident about my test-taking skills. I ended up getting a 173, above my target score, and I’m so grateful to Hudson for all of his help!

-M.S., Fall 2020

I started working with Sam about three months before the August 2020 LSAT. August was my fourth time taking the exam and Sam was the third tutor that I had worked with (the others from different tutoring companies). Sam was able to help me raise my score by 11 points from my previous exam for a final score of 170. Before I started working with Sam, I felt like I was struggling to make any significant change in the way that I approached the test and subsequently was not seeing results that I knew I was capable of. From the start, Sam was able to help me identify my problem areas and develop a targeted approach to the types of questions that I struggled with. I saw significant improvement in just a few weeks of working with him. He was not only helpful in working out solutions with me during our one-on-ones but he also spent time outside of our sessions finding specific questions and sections for me to practice that were tailored to the problems we had identified. What I loved most about how our tutoring worked was the holistic approach that Sam took -- the LSAT is more than just mastering the test material, it is also about getting over mental hurdles and the pressure that you feel to perform at your best on test day. Sam helped me get to a point where I felt confident in the whole process before going into the test. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed working with Sam and looked forward to our tutoring sessions. I work full-time and he was always very flexible with my schedule in figuring out times to meet. I could not recommend Sam more to anyone looking for a tutor. I couldn't have done this without him!

K.C., Fall 2020

I absolutely loved working with Amanda! She was patient and really helped me find better strategies to save time on the LSAT which I was struggling with. She really got to know where my weaknesses and strengths were and we were able to work on them together. I noticed my scores going much higher and the time I took answering questions and strategies I used were so much more efficient then when I was self studying last year.

S.A., Fall 2020

This past summer, I had an exceptional experience working with Tara as my tutor. She converts her deep knowledge of the exam into an everyday understanding for the LSAT student. We started from scratch, and by the end of our sessions she had given me the tools and confidence I needed to attack the exam and gain significant improvement. I'd highly recommend Tara.

-A.D., Fall 2020

Jenna is awesome to work with because she is very encouraging throughout the preparation process and takes time to make sure you understand the material well. In just a month between the July LSAT 2020 and August LSAT 2020, she helped me boost my score 10 points- well above what I was hoping for. I’m very thankful I had her as my tutor and I would strongly recommend her to anyone studying for the LSAT!

-J.C., Fall 2020

I studied for the LSAT for three months. I started with the Powerscore Bibles and completed them the first month of studying. I didn't find my score going up so I got a tutor and he didn't help. With a month left until the LSAT I called the LSAT Nerd and had Jonathan as my tutor! I told him what my goal score was and we worked three times a week, trying new techniques to boost my score. There were lots of ups and downs to the process but I just got my score back on Friday and I got my goal score!! From my baseline to test day I increased 20 points and I could not be happier with my results. Jonathan helped me so much and I really could not thank him enough!!!

B.S., Fall 2020

I've been teaching for the last five years, and have been a high-stakes testing tutor myself, and so I have high standards for folks who are in the business of tutoring/education. Sam is, hands-down, the best. He clearly is tutoring the LSAT because he cares about the content and his students. He was there for me every step of the way and brought me from a 166 to a 171 in a few months. His planning was exceptional and anytime I reached out to him he was ready and willing to answer my questions. Moreover, he went above and beyond in his time to help with things extraneous to the test itself both during and after the process -- like helping me decide the costs and benefits of taking the test again and looking over my personal statement. There is no one better than Sam in this process and I recommend him strongly to anyone who is looking for help in this extremely stressful process! Thank you so much Sam!

-K.T., Fall 2020

Hudson tutored me for about 6 weeks before I took the August LSAT flex. I’ve used all of the books out there, have tried self study and have tried lsat classes. But Hudson helped me improve my LSAT score more than I could have hoped or asked. Hudson gave me the confidence I needed to succeed and put my dream school in reach! Hudson was nothing but helpful, patient and kind. I recommend Hudson to anyone that tells me that they are looking to take the LSAT. Big thank you to him!

-C.S., Fall 2020

Alex was a consistent and encouraging tutor who gave me an indomitable spirit in the face of a test I had feared since college. He provided me with a rigid practice routine, which perfectly fit into my schedule after work. By the time I took the test I was able to see why he called each section eminently learnable. Not only was my mindset changed for the better, my plan of attack was, too. I would suggest Alex to any of my friends who are preparing for the LSAT.

-J.G., Fall 2020

After trying to study for the July LSAT on my own and getting a score I wasn’t satisfied with, I contacted the LSAT Nerd to give myself a more organized study plan. Working with Yash helped me to identify my problem sections and systematically work at them until I felt comfortable and prepared for the test in October. Throughout the whole process, Yash was motivational, optimistic, and always ready to answer any questions that I had. He is the kind of person who will explain the same concept to you over and over until you understand, without making you feel bad about not getting it the first time. I absolutely recommend him to anybody looking for a tutor who is not only there to help you perform on the test but also someone who cares about your well being throughout the stressful LSAT process.

-E.B., Fall 2020

Jonathan is a fantastic LSAT tutor. In every section, he is able to meticulously break down the components of the question and teach you strategies that become critical on test day. He provides study plans, test-taking tips, and really cares about you understanding how to beat the LSAT. When I was struggling with a particular question type, he compiled a list of that question- type for me to really hone my skills. Even outside of our sessions, he always checked in on my progress and asked me if I had any additional questions he could answer. My success is his success and that is a great feeling as a student to know you have someone on your side.

-A.R., Fall 2020

Jenna is amazing! She’s extremely patient and uses simple, well-organized methods to help break down the variables step by step so you fully grasp the concept. She was clear and eloquent and made the effort to ensure I thoroughly understood everything we went over. Jenna encouraged me throughout the entire process and during my LSAT tutoring experience with her, she gave me the confidence I needed to be successful. On my first try I was able to score high enough to get into my first choice law school and I couldn’t have done it without her!

-B.G., Fall 2020

Wade worked tirelessly to get me to realize my lsat potential, starting with my lack of confidence in the daunting standardized exam. He made himself readily available for sessions whenever I wanted to meet and explained tricky topics to me with such poise and ease. The tri-weekly group sessions led by Wade and Sam were a great way to go over topics I learned one on one with Wade and by myself and I strengthened my lsat confidence when I answered questions in front of other students. You will not go wrong by working with LSAT Nerds!

-E.H., Fall 2020

After being told by many other tutors, I did not have enough time to improve my LSAT score, I assumed I would have to write the LSAT twice, but after three weeks of tutoring with Hudson I am pleased to say I will be keeping my score from my first attempt. I saw a huge improvement in my practice tests with a 6 point increase on test day. Hudson went above and beyond, sending me practice sections to do outside of our 90 minute sessions and remained extremely patient during our sessions. His method is easy to follow, and he will work through questions until you have a full understanding. Overall I am very glad I got Hudson as a tutor.

-E.S., Fall 2020

After self-studying with the Powerscore Bibles for a few months and bouncing around in the 160s, I started tutoring with Wade and scored a 171 on my official LSAT! Each session, Wade focused on my specific needs and helped me develop reliable strategies that were significantly more effective than the general tips and tricks I found in self-study books. Not only did he focus on each section and concept individually, he also worked through practice questions and passages with me to help to ensure I could apply the lessons I was learning to actual testing situations. Wade catered these lessons to my strengths and weaknesses and consistently demonstrated how the skills I was developing would translate into my legal career, making tutoring sessions more engaging and fulfilling. He even ensured that I was motivated and excited for what's to come with regular check-ins and inspiration. His help and support made me more prepared for the LSAT, law school, and my future as a lawyer! I cannot thank him enough!

-T.D., Summer 2020

Wade was great to work with! He quickly got me from the mid-160s to 170s on my practice tests, and I ended up with a 175 on my official LSAT after 2 months of tutoring. Before I met with him, I'd self-studied for a few months using prep guides like the LSAT Bibles, the LSAT Trainer, and the Loophole, but I was still stuck in the mid-160s. It was a real game changer for me to have a tutor who not only challenged me to think more critically, but also provided me with much-needed support when I felt frustrated from a bad day of studying. Thanks, Wade!

-V.T., Summer 2020

Working with Josh (the LSAT Nerd) has been by far one of the most rewarding experiences on my journey to law school! His unparalleled skill in logic and critical thinking, ability to effectively adapt to my learning methods, frequent encouragement, and sincere interest in helping me achieve my desired goals allowed me to realize a 13-point score increase on test day compared to my initial practice LSAT. So, DO NOT worry! With Josh in your corner, you are in great hands.

-L.B., Summer 2020

I met with Sam consistently for about 6 weeks. In that time, I saw my practice test scores rise from the low 160s to high 160s and even into the 170s, with a final score increase of 7 points on test day. Sam was a great tutor, very flexible with his time, and obviously an LSAT expert. He was even able to help me with some test taking strategies as I was dealing with some test anxiety. I cannot recommend him enough and I definitely credit him with my test day success!

-S.L., Summer 2020

Jenna is an amazing tutor! As someone that has struggled with standardized tests in the past, I was very worried about the LSAT. Before coming to the LSAT Nerd I had studied with several different materials but was stuck scoring around a 160. With only one month of tutoring, Jenna really helped me improve in the logic games and logical reasoning sections. She gave me great strategies to improve my timing and always made sure I understood why wrong answers were incorrect. Jenna truly cares about her students and made studying for the LSAT more enjoyable than I thought it could be. On my first LSAT exam, I was able to score a 167. I couldn’t have done it without Jenna’s help!

-R.C., Summer 2020

Working with Josh was such a great decision for me, and for my LSAT. In each meeting, he was professional and personable, and I feel like I learned a lot from working with him. I learned details of the test that I hadn’t picked up on in my self studying. I would recommend working with Josh and with LSAT Nerd to anyone who is able.

-M.F., Summer 2020

I came to Josh after months of self-studying and an LSAT score that I was incredibly unhappy with. In my personal experience, studying for the LSAT was so stressful and grueling, but Josh was able to pinpoint my weaknesses and help me attack them head on. I felt more accomplished and confident after every session. Even through my frustrations, which were fairly frequent, Josh was patient and understanding. After a few months with Josh, I ended up taking the LSAT again and improving my original score by 11 points. I would recommend the LSAT Nerd a million times over and cannot thank Josh enough!

-B.Z., Summer 2020

Working with Wade took me from a diagnostic score of ~148 to a 177 within three months. My original goal was a 172 (75th percentile at my target school), but Wade inspired me to aim higher. Although I called The LSAT Nerd for help with logic games, Wade also helped me improve in reading comprehension, where I already had strong performance. His methods made "main point" questions finally click for me and carried me to a consistent -1 to -3 on the section. I also had strong performance on logical reasoning but Wade made custom problem sets for me so I saw improvements in this area of the test as well.

Throughout my work with Wade, he helped me identify study skills that will work in law school and explained how the test parallels legal education itself. This helped me to stay motivated while working full-time. I also appreciated that Wade wove admissions consulting into our sessions. His advice on the application process was so helpful that I engaged him after the test for several hours of more formal consulting and personal statement editing work.

I applied to several T14 schools after their deadlines and had a tremendously successful (if highly abbreviated) application cycle. I was admitted to my dream school within a week of submitting my application. I received a scholarship of nearly 75% from a regional school in the top 25 and used this offer to negotiate a 40% discount at my desired T14 school.

Based on my amazing results, I am confident that The LSAT Nerd offers the same quality of service as more established consultants, at a fraction of the price, and that their tutoring services are best-in-class.

-A.K., Spring 2020

Over the course of three years I self-studied and sat for the LSAT 4 times, improving only two points. After six weeks of tutoring sessions with Alex I was able to increase my score by an additional three points, putting me in a significantly stronger position to be accepted from the waitlist at several schools. Alex was insightful, well prepared, and as much an encouraging voice as he was teacher. Between individual sessions with Alex and the exceptional small group workshops, it is hard to imagine finding a better value. My only regret is that I didn’t find LSAT Nerd sooner.

-D.L., Spring 2020

I don’t think I would have made it through the LSAT and the application process without Jonathan! After self-studying for two months, I knew I needed to get some extra help with logical reasoning. Jonathan listened to what worked for me and what didn’t work when it came to studying. He helped me come up with strategies to keep me on track during practice and on test day. He forced me to work through questions (even when I didn’t have a clue how to answer them) and explain why answers were right or wrong. This practice strategy was a big part of my improvement!

Jonathan was also a really important part of my application process. He diligently helped me edit my personal statement, resume and other addendums. He also gave me advice on where to apply and what schools he thought would be a good fit for me.

Jonathan did all of this while being patient and encouraging every step of the way! He always took the time to meet with me or call me if I was struggling and never let me give up, even when I really wanted to. I really can’t thank him enough and wouldn’t have been able to make it through this process without his support!

-S.F., Spring 2020

The winter break before my senior spring semester of college I decided to take the LSAT in the following April (though eventually this date would get pushed back to June due to COVID-19). I started doing private tutoring sessions with Josh mid-February after becoming severely disappointed and frustrated with my university’s LSAT prep program offered at the student union center. Once I started working privately with Josh, it was a game changer, and I soon realized he was going to be my best bet at success on the LSAT. I had conveyed to Josh that Reading Comprehension was my weakest section, and Josh tried every imaginable strategy that he could conceive to ensure that I felt comfortable navigating that section- he even reached out to fellow tutors to inquire about strategies. (Believe me, I can’t even remember how many different reading comprehension strategies we tested). Josh truly tailors each session to your needs but only after doing a proper overview of each section, highlighting potential strategies that you can test out. Josh successfully creates a way to study for the LSAT in an almost formulaic fashion- proving effective for me as a student because it made the LSAT seem less abstract. I remember consistently doing sessions with Josh going over difficult Logical Reasoning questions and Logic Games setups to ensure that I would be comfortable when I encountered a difficult LR question or LG setup on the test. An LSAT tutor does not come in better form than Josh. Josh will not give up on you as his student. He will not let you feel defeated, and he will make sure that you understand an LSAT concept or the why for an answer to a question before moving on. This persistence was pivotal in my success on the LSAT, and I cannot thank Josh enough for the role he played in my LSAT journey.

I definitely had good news the other day! My score puts me right in the middle of the range for two of my schools and in the 80th percentile for one of of them!!! I want you to know that you helped me tremendously. I memorized the notes you gave me and listened to the audio recordings of our lessons over and over again on the way to work and on the way home. Until I had my sessions with you, I just wasn't improving...and I lacked so much understanding. Your method for Logical Reasoning was especially helpful. Later, there were times on practice tests where I would make a note, writing down or saying to myself "LSATNerd" or "Josh" (especially on assumption questions) and I could absolutely tell that I got the correct answer because of you! I would verify it after the test and sure enough, it was right. Other key points that you made (that helped me immensely) were: (1) don't try to answer LR with intelligence, but by breaking down each argument to an insane degree, (2) be a robot!!! (3) know how to attack each individual LR question depending on question type. In my studies previous to meeting you, I just didn't have a clue about that. (4) The conditional inferences for in/out games also proved invaluable. Memorizing those was an enormous benefit. Because of these things and more, I told people about you on Reddit!

-K.R., Spring 2020

With Josh’s techniques and hard work, my LSAT score jumped 5 points. I am now eligible to get into a long list of schools, including my top choice. Bottom line, Josh has a simple repeatable no nonsense approach to each section of the LSAT. I came to him initially for logic games, and I quickly realized his approach to logic reasoning made problems that I would have previously skipped, parallel reasoning, problems I could get correct in seconds. If you are willing to put in the work, Josh can help you on your path to success.

-K.H., Spring 2020

When I first decided to take the LSAT I signed up for a well known test taking class. I attended every session and completed all the homework/practice tests I was supposed to do. Long story short, I failed to achieve a score that reflected my test taking abilities. I then tried to self-study. I got the same result as when I was under tutelage. I almost gave up, I was only grabbing a single point each time I took the test. Yes, I am quite seasoned on the LSAT. However, I wasn't "well" seasoned. I was on my fourth try when a loving family member decided to look into other tutoring sources. She ultimately found the LSAT Nerd. I am so grateful that she did. After a quick phone call with Josh, I was onboard. The tutor assigned to me was Wade Formo, and I can't say enough great things about him. After a few sessions I could already tell that I was in good hands. Wade was able to pick up on my weaknesses and strengths from the beginning. This was a big deal for me, I felt like I was finally able to ask the questions I wanted and ultimately needed. Wade was always encouraging and patient, even when I wanted to rip my hair out. It was worth the sweat, tears, and several legal pads of notes and practice. I was determined to succeed and so was Wade. He was always willing to take a phone call or text if I had questions outside of our sessions. Throughout our weekly meetings he would send me lists of additional questions in areas that I needed improvement. I was also extremely impressed with the LSAT Nerd's willingness to use their extra free time to hold group sessions. It was beyond helpful to be able to work out problems with a group of people who were in the same boat. In the end, after my final test, my expectations were surpassed. I was able to raise my score by six points! I can say with the utmost confidence that Wade and the LSAT Nerd were paramount in my success. I 100% recommend this company and it's tutors. Thank you again Wade and the LSAT Nerd, you simply rock!

-K.E., Spring 2020

When I first reached out to LSAT Nerd I had a score of 161 and was in need of serious help. My tutoring sessions with Wade were not only critical to helping me raise my score by over 10 points to a final 173, but also helped me feel much more informed and confident about the LSAT itself. We also discussed law school admissions extensively and Wade’s insights as someone who had personally experienced it better prepared me for navigating the application process. I ended up being accepted to my dream law schools and will be attending a T-14 school this fall. (As of now I have been accepted to Michigan, Cornell, NYU, Georgetown, Penn, and Harvard (!) I am very grateful to Wade and LSAT Nerd for such a great experience!

-F.A., Fall 2019

Wade is the best tutor, plain and simple. His patience, knowledge, enthusiasm, and care are unrivaled in the LSAT prep industry. If you are serious about the LSAT, and willing to put the time in, Wade will be with you every step of the way. Without him, I would not have been able to make the climb from a 151 to a 163.

-T.S., Fall 2019

When I first took on the LSAT, I thought I could study for it like it was any other test. I walked away from that experience with a 150. It wasn't until I began to study with Wade, that the ins-and-outs of the LSAT began to become clear. Rather than blindly guessing my way through, I could understand the LSAT and all that it meant to write it. After working with Wade, my score increased eight points, and as a result, I got into my first choice for law school. My time with LSAT nerd was invaluable and an investment I would make again without hesitation

-N.H., Fall 2019

I had a great experience with Josh. We worked for about 3 months together to prep for my June LSAT twice a week. He really is great at explaining where you could go wrong and to steer you in the right direction. He tailors every session specific to my needs which was help on Logical Reasoning, taking what was the most difficult problems and showing me how to simplify it. It was a great pleasure working with him, he made studying so much easier. He also works well with scheduling. I went away to Ireland for a week and wanted to reschedule my sessions due to the 6 hour time difference a week before the LSAT and he was great enough to video chat with me at odd hours. Overall great guy with great strategies. He turned my starting practice score of 151 to a 171.

-A.D., Fall 2019

Josh is a fabulous tutor. His knowledge of the logic games is comprehensive, and his teaching methods are stress-free, but wildly effective. He was personable, kind, and extremely supportive. He honed my skills and taught me to trust my instincts, which was really the key to my success. He is the reason for my double-digit score improvement! I would recommend him to anyone and everyone taking the LSAT.

-J.O., Fall 2019

Josh was instrumental in getting me to the next level in LR and RC. These are two areas where I was scoring only between 15-17 per section. Test takers are typically told these areas show the least improvement and concentrate on logic games. This was not my experience with Josh. He has a system that is highly effective. By drilling with the aid of his easy to understand strategies and eventually internalizing the rules, I was able to quickly and conclusively determine when a choice was incorrect or not. Logic games may be the draw for future test-takers, but the instruction Josh provided in LR and RC not only allowed me to break into the 85th percentile, his instruction provided critical skills which will serve me well when I begin law school in the fall.

-M.Z., Fall 2019

The first time I took the LSAT, my score couldn’t have gotten me anywhere. It was when I found Josh and he taught me how to approach the LSAT with a different mindset that I got the score that I wanted. He was very patient with me and always made sure I understood a problem before moving on. I’m now heading to my dream school in the fall!

-S.I., Fall 2019

I found myself hitting a plateau and couldn't increase my score when I was self-studying for the LSAT. Wade taught me to trust my instincts, and to hone my natural abilities, which really helped improve my overall score. He is very supportive and patient, and I found his teaching skills to be really detailed, while also relatable. Every session was tailored to my specific needs and he always made sure I understood how each problem could be solved. He also made each session very enjoyable to learn! :) I highly recommend Wade to anyone really looking to getting a strong understanding of all 3 sections, and also gaining confidence in their skills.

-S.L., Fall 2019

I was hesitant at first to take online tutoring lessons to prepare for the LSAT, but after spending time with Josh, I realize that there is no better way to prepare. Josh's patience, intelligence, and genuine love for the law and those who want to study it make him such a great teacher. With his guidance, I was able to navigate the stressful LSAT environment by breaking down test questions into easy to solve reasoning formulas. I passed with a score of 162 which was well above my intended goal.

-J.M., Fall 2019

Wade is an amazing tutor. I took the LSAT 3 times. The first with a big company and the second by self studying. It wasn’t until I started working with Wade that I saw actual improvement in my LSAT score. Wade’s knowledge of each section and how to approach them aided tremendously in my score increase. By tackling a different section each lesson but still remembering the skills from the previous one, I was able to master strategies that facilitated the key to my success. His teaching methods are extremely effective and I’d recommend him to everyone planning to take the LSAT.

-T.H., Fall 2019

I took the LSAT 3 times. I self-studied the first-time and went with a big name company for the second time. My score remained the same the first two times, and I went to The LSAT Nerd for help with my third take. He was able to help me identify my weaknesses and help me understand where I was specifically going wrong in certain problems. I was able to increase my score 6 points and would highly recommend him!

-A.W., Fall 2019

I took my first LSAT and got a score of 146. I started working with Wade to help me raise that score into the 150s. Wade helped me learn the basics of the LSAT, how to manage my time during the test, and beat the tricks the LSAT tries to play on you. I got a 154 the next time around! Wade helped me increase my score by 8 points, which was huge. I now have ample opportunities for where I can go to law school, including a full scholarship offer! I couldn’t have gotten that score without his help!

-S.K., Fall 2019

There was a point during the tutoring when I was second guessing myself, going back and erasing the correct answer and choosing something different. You told me to trust myself, and to be confident in the skills that we developed. That was for the LSAT, but for me that was a life lesson (not to get too philosophical lol). Needless to say I have been accepted to all the schools I applied to with scholarships to all three. Seriously, Thank You.

-T.B., Fall 2019

Josh was able to work with me on a flexible schedule while providing a complete learning experience for my LSAT. While I was finishing my last semester in college, he took time to make sure I understood everything he put forward while making the sessions enjoyable and easily understandable. With his help I was able to gain almost 10 extra points on my LSAT and qualify for $27,000 on the law school of my choice.

-W.P., Fall 2019

I couldn’t be happier with Wade! After taking the LSAT in September 2019, I came to a conclusion that I needed a more in-depth, individual, and structured plan to prepare for the test. Signing up for tutoring classes with Wade was the best decision I could have made. From the very beginning, I realized that Wade has undoubtedly mastered the test. I am extremely grateful to Wade for teaching me new techniques and interesting strategies for attacking the problems in all the LSAT sections. By the end of the course, all the acquired strategies became second nature to me and the LSAT seemed like nothing more than the practice that we mastered during each session. Wade helped me to walk into the test day with the confidence that I understood the material and was ready to get my highest score. I highly recommend tutoring sessions with Wade to anyone who is ready to do his/her absolute best on the LSAT!!!

-O.M., Fall 2019

I had put in a year of work trying to achieve my goal score. After raising my own score by 12 points, I found myself short of my goal and backsliding weeks before my next LSAT. I reached out to The LSAT Nerd and was paired with Wade for a 1-hour subject-specific tutoring session. We worked through a strategy that I could practice a few times between that lesson and the exam. Come exam time I felt confident in the techniques that Wade and I worked on, and my score reflected it. I scored 5 points above my previous score on record and landed right on my goal score. I'm currently negotiating scholarships from 2 schools that will cover 90% of their respective tuition cost. Thanks, Wade!

-J.B., Fall 2019

I ended up with a 161! It feels great given that my hope had been a 160 when we first started and I really didn't think it would be possible. I really can't thank you enough for you assistance this fall, clearly you helped unlock an understanding and I'm very appreciative of that! Now I just have finish submitting my applications and then we'll see where I end up in the fall! Thank you again so much.

-C.W., Fall 2019

I am very grateful to LSAT Nerd, and Wade specifically, for supporting me with my LSAT preparation. With short notice, he was generous with his time, and I am happy with the support I received from him. Wade is well prepared, knowledgeable and organized. I have improved greatly from his help, which is evident from my 7-point scaled score increase to 163. I would definitely recommend him as a tutor.

-R.C., Spring 2019

Working with Josh was easy and great! Not only did I enjoy our sessions but he helped me improve my score 5 points from the September to December LSAT's!

-J.S., Spring 2019

When I first took the LSAT I second guessed myself, compounding mistakes. Wade tailored every session to my needs; clearly distilling the rules into recognizable patterns & pointing out traps. I returned confident in the work we put in and was rewarded with six more points. I would have been lost without Wade and his NBA hot takes. I can’t thank you enough!

-J.R., Spring 2019

Josh taught me the skills and shorthand necessary to master the Logic Games section of the LSAT. With this knowledge, I was able to raise my score 6 points!

-S.M., Spring 2019

Working with Josh changed the LSAT from a seemingly insurmountable challenge into a much more manageable task. Josh gives you the personal attention that you cannot receive from a generic LSAT class and works with you to ameliorate your weaknesses while also building upon your strengths. I'm so happy I turned to The LSAT Nerd for help and I'm sure that his future students will feel the same way.

-J.M., Spring 2019

Josh provided LSAT tutoring that was uniquely tailored to maximizing my strong areas and shoring up my weaknesses. He helped me to understand the intricacies, quirks and patterns of the test as well as the core concepts. He is personally invested in the success of each and every one of his students and it shows in his work. His individualized instruction far exceeded what I could have received from a generic test prep course, and helped me earn a scholarship to one of my to choice schools.

-G.G., Spring 2019

LSAT Nerd was really great. It helps to have this one-on-one attention to address specific questions. Wade was very patient with me as well as thorough regarding each topic. I recommend them without any reservations.

-M.T., Spring 2019

Hope this note finds you well.  Just wanted to write you real quick that my LSAT score came up 6 points from a 158 to a 164, which is great!  Thanks for all of your help and best of luck with the growing business!

-J.M, Spring 2019

Wade was a fantastic tutor. His teaching style was perfect for me because he provided new strategies on how to attack each section that I had not learned before. Because of this, I was able to raise my score and get into my dream law school. From someone who used the LSAT Nerd and some of the big-brand LSAT companies, I highly recommend The LSAT nerd (try to get Wade if you can).

-N.B., Spring 2019

THANK YOU. I GOT INTO ONE OF THE BEST LAW SCHOOLS IN CANADA!!! You helped me feel psychologically confident before the LSAT and believe in myself. THANK YOU!
